So, the technique I’d like to introduce you to is a meditation one. Please don’t be skeptical about meditation – it is a very powerful psychotherapy tool, and this fact is recognized by mainstream medicine.
The technique consists of two parts:
1) Entering the state of meditation;
2) Meditation proper.
So, below, I describe the technique part by part and step by step:
Part 1 – Entering the state of meditation
- Find a place where nobody will disturb and nothing will distract you. Lighting shouldn’t be bright – instead, it should be dusk-like;
- Don’t overeat before meditation. Go to the bathroom beforehand;
- It would be a good idea to turn on some soft, melodious, and peaceful music. Your best bet is to use special music for meditation;
- As for the pose: it is not necessary to use any yoga poses (asanas). What is important is that you can stay in the pose you use for a long time. You should feel quite comfortable in it. Ideally, the pose should be a sitting one, but you can also use a lying one (however, a lot of people tend to fall asleep in the latter case);
- Close your eyes. Put aside all your thoughts, ideas, and problems;

- Concentrate on your body. You should relax all your muscles. Start, for instance, with your right arm (together with the hand). You are relaxing all the muscles of the arm, the arm is becoming heavier and heavier; it is now very heavy and pleasantly warm. You feel as though it is sinking through the surface it is lying on – lower and lower. Now, do the same with your left arm. Then with the legs, then with the head, and then, finally, with the trunk and with the whole body. You will have a pleasant feeling of flying;
- “Turn off” all your thoughts and all body sensations. There’s no body anymore – there’s only silence! Focus attention on the center of the head and listen to the silence. Just listen to it. And look inside your head with eyes closed. Keep this state of silence. It is THE STATE OF MEDITATION that is prerequisite to any successful meditation practice.
Part 2 – Meditation for dealing with anger
- Once you enter the state of meditation, thoroughly examine your whole body with your mind’s eye and try to detect where, in what area of your body your anger is hiding. This body area will respond to your attention with tension, and you will feel as if there is something hard, clinking, stretched like a string there – a body zone that is hard to relax;
- As soon as you direct your attention to this zone, the feeling of anger will start emerging from your soul – it may express itself in tears, in a shout, or in something else. Become a passive onlooker to this feeling. Just let it be. But don’t unite with it in a single whole, don’t let it possess you – let it reveal itself, don’t suppress it, but don’t succumb to it, either. Just look from the outside how you anger is flowing and manifesting itself. Don’t struggle with it, but don’t indulge it, either, don’t let it grow to the limit. If you just observe how your anger is flowing, without either fighting or indulging it, then, after a while, it will go away all by itself, clearing a space in your soul that will immediately start being filled up with healing, radiant energies of the Universe;
- Now, lie down on a hard surface, relax, visualize the blue sky and repeat mentally ten times: “I’m cheerful and calm”;
- Once you feel that your state has changed, and that you have a surge of energy, stop meditating. Don’t stand up right away – lie for a while, taking time to return to your normal state.
That’s how to deal with anger by means of meditation. The latter is a powerful technique, but now, I’d like to recommend you an alternative method, which is even more powerful than meditation. Besides, it will save you lots of time and effort. The method in question consists in suggestion which occurs in the following way: a piece of software receives your instructions and then sends necessary affirmations directly to your subconscious. Your mind is reprogrammed, and your mental and emotional problems are solved. This software is a universal self-help and self-perfection tool, so, using it, you will be able not only to manage anger, but also by and large to transform your personality the way you want.
