Here are my tips on how to deal with excessive worry:
- My first tip may sound paradoxical: don’t struggle with worry. When you worry too much, don’t try to get rid of this state. I know, I know: a lot of smart people and websites advise to fight one’s fears, to overcome them, etc. But… Do you really need to struggle in this case? You know, conducting this struggle, you spend (in fact, waste) your effort. Moreover, this struggle usually is more effort consuming than worry itself! So, instead of fighting worry, accept it, feel it, find its cause – and you will feel better. You will feel still better if you manage to find some pros in the situation that makes you worry;
- Exercise is your friend. Worry affects the work of our muscles hindering our movements. Interestingly, the reverse is also true: when we make our muscles work, we worry less. So, to stop worrying, you can do 50 squats, or jump rope for some time, or do sit-ups, etc. Your body will respond by releasing endorphin – a substance that is also called “happiness hormone”. The latter will do the trick.
- Don’t vex over trivia. The fact is that, all too often, we worry over some imaginary problems. For example, today, you had no time to submit your report to the boss, and now, you are afraid that tomorrow, it will be too late to submit it. But you can just tell the boss that the work on the report took longer than expected, however, as for the rest, everything’s OK. That’s all there is to it; the problem, on closer examination, proved not to be worth worrying at all – it’s a mere trifle. So, before you start worrying over something, make out whether the problem is real or imaginary and, in the latter case, don’t complicate your life and take it easy;

- Breathing helps solve the problem of worry. Here’s a breathing exercise that you can do to calm down: sit down, close your eyes, and visualize a small ball in front of you. Take a slow and deep breath and imagine that the ball is moving, slowly and fluidly, from your stomach to your throat. Breathing out, imagine that the ball is moving in reverse, from up to down. About ten of the above breathing cycles will help you relax significantly; thereby, your worry will be greatly reduced;
- Be more positive. Say to yourself several times a day something like “I can do it”, “I will do it”, “I am the best”, etc. Those positive affirmations will, over time, reprogram your mind, and you will become less prone to worrying.
Now that you got the answer to the question “How to stop worrying so much?”, let me fulfill my promise I gave at the beginning of the post, that is, to introduce you to the tool that will enable you to get rid of your worries with ease. This tool is a computer program that transforms your personality through suggestion. It happens in the following way: you launch the program, give it the necessary instructions, and it starts changing you while you sit at the computer and do what you want (the suggestion occurs at the subconscious level, so you don’t need to pay any attention to the program once you launched it). This piece of software will help you deal with almost any mental or emotional issues: worry, anxiety, fears, phobias, depression, etc; moreover, it will enable you to change yourself practically any way you want.
