How To Cope With Depression (A Powerful Technique)

One of the most efficient techniques to beat depression is meditation. This fact is recognized not only by yogis, but also by traditional medicine.

In this post, I will teach you how to cope with depression through meditation. At the end of the post, I will suggest you an alternative method of fighting depression which is even more powerful than meditation.

So, let’s start. Our meditation technique is as follows:

You need a quiet room where nobody will disturb you. You can turn on some soft music that makes you relax.

Sit down on the edge of a chair, put your hands on your knees, and straighten your spine. Close your eyes, but not fully, so that you don’t feel sleepy.

Now you need to completely relax. To do it, just concentrate on the top of your head and say inwardly: “The muscles of the top of the head are relaxing”. Then shift your attention to your temples and say inwardly the same: “The muscles of the temples are relaxing”. Do the same with the forehead, the cheeks, the nose, the mouth, the ears, the neck, the shoulders, etc – until you get to the heels.

Your breathing should be regular, quiet, and slow. The exhale should be even slower than the inhale. If possible, make a short pause between the end of the previous exhale and the beginning of the next inhale.

Now, inhaling, imagine that you are breathing in light THROUGH THE CENTER OF YOUR CHEST. Exhaling, imagine that you are breathing out bad, black energy THROUGH A CHANNEL THAT GOES FROM THE HEART UPWARDS, ALONG THE SPINE. This bad energy is leaving your body through the top of the head and is dissolving in the universe. You can imagine what bad things you are throwing away into the cosmos on the exhale: resentment, anger, hatred, sadness, fear and, of course, DEPRESSION.

Do you remember that you breathe in light on the inhale? So, as you inhale, imagine that this divine light is filling your whole body, its every cell. Imagine and feel that the light is permeating your thoughts, mind, feelings and emotions, cleaning them of any darkness.

On the inhale, always concentrate on the point in the center of the chest, and on the exhale, you can try to imagine that you are breathing out bad energy up the channel seeing yourself from the outside – this will allow you to neutralize unpleasant feelings that may arise during exhalation.

Ideally, when you meditate, there should be no self-talk and no thoughts in your head. But if you can’t manage to do it, don’t worry: it will come with practice.

Your first meditation sessions should last about 10 minutes. Later on, you will feel what session duration is best for you.

Now that you know how to cope with depression through meditation, let me introduce you to an alternative method that has some advantages over meditation – namely, it will save you time and effort. The method consists in reprogramming your mind by means of special software that sends necessary affirmations to your subconscious.
